Why does my hot water heater pilot light keep going out?

Why does my toilet keep backing up?

Most of the time a stoppage is caused due to a underlying problem that cannot be seen from inside of your home. There are many reasons for stoppages such as roots, rags, offsets, brakes and many more. The good news is that Freedom Plumbing can check for any of the above items with our state of the art sewer camera.

How long should a water heater last?

Water heaters typically last anywhere from 8 to 10 years and should be checked by a professional to see about replacing at this time.

What is a slab leak?

A slab leak is when you have a slab home and there is a leak under the concrete of that home. Slab leaks can be detected with the right equipment and professional. They can cause movement to your foundation and home if not taken care of in a timely manner.

What do I do if I smell gas?

Call a plumber immediately! Gas is dangerous and very combustible; you do not want to risk your life or home. Until the plumber arrives please do not use any open flames in your home until the problem is found and fixed. It might be a small leak but the risk is never worth it.

How do I turn off my water to my home until the plumber gets here to fix the leak?

The meter is usually in the front of your home near the curb or in the alley. If you do not have the proper tools or know how to get the water turned off and the leak is severe then we recommend you call the city water department or local fire department to get it turned off until a professional arrives. Turning off the water to a severe leak can save you thousands of dollars in damages if done in a timely manner.
